Our goal is to be a safe working studio. Safety is paramount to our members enjoyment, and to provide the information needed to attain our goals of safety first. Even seasoned pros must participate and may even have something to offer.

For new woodworkers this course provides hands on understanding of wood as a medium, and the inherent characteristics and properties. This is the beginnings to create your own projects either personal or for sale.

This interesting course designed to teach basic skills while making your own cutting board, with the features that would be desired. Creating your own kitchen accessory that is used often in the kitchen is a nice start into woodworking.

Joinery is at the heart of every woodworking project. From simple board glue ups to squaring a cabinet, this course will offer a multitude of joints like tongue and groove, stile and rails. pocket holes and more.

This advanced woodworking class is a multiday build, to create a small bookcase that can be used in a variety of ways. Learn new box build techniques and skills like fixed vs. adjustable shelving plus face frames.

Some of the most useful tools in a woodworking shop is the hand plane. knowing how to use the various types of hand planes and cabinet Scrapers. Learn how to create a flat and finish ready surface. Scraper kit included.

Time and exposure to the elements can takes its toll on a furniture finish. We will learn about strippers, and sanding techniques. Simply restoring a finish that has lost its luster over time, is another alternative. Furniture repair is also covered.

The most versatile tool in a woodworkers arsenal is the router. Coves, round overs, and other molded edges, joinery options and how to use these safely are all covered. Router table usage and plunge routing is also taught.

How wonderful to create small wooden toys for grandchildren to play with. These will last for years to come. Cars, trucks and or puzzles can be chosen. Everyone will be amazed at the crafts created to entertain little ones.

Wood Turning has created some beautiful artistic pieces such as bowls and lamps. Special tools and skills are taught in this course to introduce the wood lathe to those that want to try their hand with wood turning.

For those crafty types that like to make Christmas trees, snow flakes and other decorative items for the holidays will love this course. Easy to make projects to chose. LED lighting will be included in this Holiday Crafts session.
